Here are the House members who voted for Matt Gaetz’s amendment to end all military aid to Ukraine:
They defended the vote with one of the most farcically bad faith pretexts in the history of farcically bad faith pretexts:
Beyond Gaetz, many on the right have argued that it is not in the United States’ interest to support Ukraine, saying that lawmakers should focus greater attention on domestic issues. Dozens of Republican lawmakers have voted against aid to Ukraine in the past, and former President Donald Trump has expressed a desire to curtail US involvement in the war.
Just weeks ago these assholes literally held the world economy hostage to force serious and arbitrary spending cuts that did not include national defense! They don’t want to “focus on domestic issues,” they just really like their ideological ally Putin and think he’s entitled to take whatever he wants.
