The distinction: Being too much of a crawling chaos for the Republican House Freedom Carcass Caucus.
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) was recently kicked out of the House Freedom Caucus after a string of disagreements with the conservative group, according to two GOP lawmakers familiar with the situation.
“She is no longer with HFC,” a Republican lawmaker told The Daily Beast, noting that “disparaging” fellow members is frowned upon.
Republican free speech absolutism ends where an insult aimed at a Republican begins. But apparently Taylor Greene’s “disparagement” was worse than Madison Cawthorn’s comments about orgies and drugs, which caused many hit dogs to holler.
Plus, Cawthorn stuck to talking shit and being a skeeve. He wasn’t around long enough to help pass a debt ceiling limit bill that didn’t outlaw everyone they don’t like.
Meanwhile, the press remains welded to its bullshit.
Greene, who has drifted away from the far right flank of the GOP since arriving in Congress in 2021, will no longer be privy to the Freedom Caucus’ internal meetings or strategy going forward.
A prime example of this drift is the fact that the day after Biden was inaugurated – less than a month after Republicans failed to prevent that inauguration – MTG filed an article of impeachment against him. She went on to author more articles of impeachment. And the disparagement that apparently lead to her expulsion from the HFC came up during a recent display of synchronized trashiness over, that’s right, articles of impeachment against Joe Biden.
People who post off-topic comments think Marjorie Taylor Greene is a staid and stolid statesperson.
