LGM Film Club, Part 393: Miller’s Crossing

What is the your favorite scene in this great Coen Brothers’ film? For me, it’s the “Danny Boy” scene when Albert Finney blows away his attackers with a Tommy gun. But then there’s the scene when Gabriel Byrne tells Finney he’s been sleeping with Marcia Gay Harden. There’s every scene with John Turturro. There’s Byrne smarting off to Jon Polito after the latter’s “mental state” speech. There’s, yes, every scene in this wonderful film. One of my all time favorites, I watched it again last night for the nth time. Hope to watch it nth more times too. Also, evidently Sam Raimi shows up as a gunman, but I have never actually noticed him.
