Justice Samuel Alito Took Luxury Fishing Vacation With GOP Billionaire Who Later Had Cases Before the Court

ProPublica has another Supreme Court scoop.
It seems that Alito got on a private jet to go on a fishing trip in Alaska with some friends who had business before the Court. But hey, he was just using a seat in the plane that would have otherwise gone empty. Like Clarence Thomas and his expensive vacations, Alito didn’t disclose this one on his financial disclosure form. Oh, and after Alito received a list of questions from ProPublica, he quickly got out a pre-emptive op-ed in the Wall Street Journal.
One of the friends was Paul Singer, whose hedge fund has repeatedly had business before the Court. The friend who supplied the plane to his fishing lodge was Robin Arkley II, who had also given some respite to Antonin Scalia. But we already knew Scalia took these expensive trips because of where he died.
And oh yes, Leonard Leo was along on the trip.
