Chesapeake City, Md.

It’s the first day of the five-day work week. A perfect time to think of what you did last weekend. And what you want to do on the next weekend. And share it in the comments below.

Warm weather is kayaking (flatwater) weather for me. We’ve been hitting Maryland’s Eastern Shore and that means paying very close attention to tides and bridge construction. As in, can we get under this bridge at high tide without swimming along beside our boats? Or in a more positive light: Is the bridge clearance so low that the water beyond is guaranteed to be free of powerboats and jet skis?

We’ll probably hit another place across the bay next weekend. Unless it rains. We’re not hardcore enough to kayak in the rain. At least not if we can avoid it.

if you don’t want to talk about weekends, talk about something else because this is an open thread.
