Many things make me sick about legal academia, but at the top of the list is the cringing unctuous deference so many Even the Liberal law professors have always displayed toward a collection of petty grifters in pseudo-priestly garb, who are willing to sell this country’s government to right wing billionaires at bargain basement prices.

The most corrupt part of all of this is that Scalia, Thomas, and the rest of them aren’t even aware that they are turning cheap jurisprudential tricks in exchange for shiny trinkets, and indeed become enraged when it’s pointed out that this is exactly what is going on, more or less right out in the open.
