Talking with Elizabeth Kolbert
One of the things I do at the University of Rhode Island is serve on the Center for the Humanities committee. We have a big annual speaker series and this year’s theme has been the environmental humanities. We’ve had a lot of great talks, including by Terry Tempest Williams. We are closing our annual series next Thursday, April 13, at 4 PM eastern with the journalist and frequent New Yorker contributor Elizabeth Kolbert, about her new book Under a White Sky: The Nature of the Future. Since she doesn’t want to give a traditional lecture, it is going to be a conversation between Kolbert and……me.
So given that, I thought some LGM people might be interested in watching the talk. You need to register ahead of time and then you will get a link for the livestream. You don’t need to be a member of the URI community to watch. So check it out!
