Russia Detains WSJ Reporter
Russia really does want to become a larger version of North Korea.
His latest article is said to have been on Russia’s deteriorating economic condition.
What he’s reporting on, however, is probably less of a motive than just to detain someone for another prisoner swap. It’s also a warning to reporters more generally. News organizations will have to reassess the safety of their people in Russia. If they decided to pull them out, that would be fine with Russia.
