Maintenance and Upkeep

Hey all,

We are receiving some reports that the incidence of pop-ups (especially on Android) has gone up again in the last few days. Please report in comments if you’ve seen any kind of significant change. FWIW, we are planning a major revision of our ad and funding strategy in order to help reduce these kinds of problems in the future.

In other news:

• If you don’t want to follow LGM on Facebook or Twitter, try LinkedIn! Also trying to get Instagram to function but still struggling with automation.
• We have new transcription software for the podcast, and with any luck will soon roll out a backward facing system for managing the stock and flow of the podcast that will include publishing transcripts for older episodes.
• On exactly the opposite side, we are looking into software that will enable text-to-audio for regular posts. The options here are a little spendy but the service is becoming standard at websites of this size.

Any other suggestions or expressions of concern are welcome; please share in the comments. In other news this is the finest use of AI in the history of the medium.
