Castner Range National Monument

President Biden has created the third major national monument of his administration, this time in the Castner Range outside of El Paso.

With Avi Kwa Ame in Nevada named last week as well (we covered this here a couple months ago), the obvious choices for national monuments are taken care of. Given Biden is committed to land preservation, I imagine more are in store and there are always proposals, but other than a couple of small historical sites, I haven’t yet seen a serious push for anything else. Be curious to see what is next.
