Threatening civil war because a president elected with a strong popular vote majority reuses to implement your extremely unpopular policy of simply abandoning a liberal democracy to an unprovoked invasion by a bloodthirsty authoritarian imperialist invader represents multiple strands of the Southern reactionary tradition. And this movement has always depended on doughfaces like Trump, who has moved to a more geographically appropriate location in any case.
