Some interesting news at Paul’s school:

Sanders informed his team at Jackson State on Saturday night that he has agreed to become the next head football coach at Colorado. After Sanders told the players at JSU, Colorado made the news official.

“There were a number of highly qualified and impressive candidates interested in becoming the next head football coach at Colorado, but none of them had the pedigree, the knowledge and the ability to connect with student-athletes like Deion Sanders,” Colorado athletic director Rick George said. “Not only will Coach Prime energize our fanbase, I’m confident that he will lead our program back to national prominence while leading a team of high quality and high character.”

Sanders, a member of the pro football and college football halls of fame, has spent the past three seasons as the head coach at Jackson State, an FCS program in Mississippi. During that span, Sanders has amassed a 27-5 overall record and two SWAC championships.

This season, Sanders has coached the Tigers to a 12-0 record, including a 43-24 victory over Southern in the SWAC title game Saturday.

He’s done a great job at Jackson State, and I suspect he’ll turn the Buffaloes around as well.

The rain on your wedding day is that the PAC-12 is the most interesting it’s been in years just as it’s about to implode.
