Where’s the Museum for the Victims of Capitalism?
I can’t wait to visit this new Victims of Communism Museum set up by former Trumpers to demonstrate to visitors the horrors of socialism. Trolling this whole enterprise will be fantastic. For one, I can’t help but wonder where’s the museum to the victims of capitalism? I guess that’s the entire planet as it burns. If this museum was remotely serious, it would be a museum about the victims of totalitarian government. But then the people behind it are pretty cool with right-wing totalitarianism and want to push capitalism around the globe. I wonder how many people died because the Bush administration decided to turn post-Saddam Iraq into a giant experiment for 26 year old former Heritage Foundation interns to engage in fundamentalist capitalism? How many people died in Chile because the field of economics decided to serve as the intellectual advisors for Augusto Pinochet and his merry band of fascist thugs?
One does not need to dismiss the very real terrors of the Soviet famines or the Khmer Rouge to note that this is pure hackwork of the worst and most ridiculous kind. I bet the museum panels and language is just great.
