Fantasy fussbowl
I listen to a lot of TTRPG actual play podcasts and often find myself wondering what fantasy (and sci fi) would look like if Dungeons & Dragons had never been invented. Especially since I occasionally come upon books where the author used character alignment, class, or both in lieu of character development.
Consider this a thread to discuss forms of entertainment that cause dreadful people to announce – often without a normal stimulus, i.e. anyone indicating that they give a shit – that the thing you like is for immature minds and they only read Great Literature and they pronounce literature with the wrong number of syllables. If not stopped they’ll explain why they eschew film and TV and only attend plays at you.
