NBA Open Thread

We did an open thread for NBA opening night and we might as well do this every Tuesday night, which after all is the full TNT studio night with Shaq/Barkley/Smith/Johnson, which means I will actually watch to see what happens in the commentary. Clearly the best studio sports show in history and it’s not even close. The way ESPN doesn’t even try–Stephen A. Smith and Jalen Rose throwing around endless hot takes–is just a sign of giving up. It’s not even really a studio show. TNT coverage is just superior from stem to stern.
In any case, the Lakers are a hilarious mess, my Blazers are somehow 4-0, Giannis and Morant are both true gods of hoops, Utah and San Antonio have both had nice 3-1 starts, and the Sixers look like garbage early on.
Plenty to chew upon in the NBA’s first week. Let this be an open thread for all things sports.
