Liz Truss resigns

The Liz Truss era lasted only slightly longer than a 1970s prog-rock double album.

I will say this for a parliamentary system: When it makes a mistake of this magnitude at least it has an actual eject button. As Juan Linz famously argued, that’s a sort of trump card for such systems relative to the rigidity of presidential systems burdened by screamingly incompetent and/or corrupt leadership.
