Yesterday’s government filing showing that Trump was storing large amounts of highly classified material alongside his personal knick-knacks leaves his most fervent apologists in a bit of a bind. The Extremely Online Matt Taibbi, having spiked the football after gaining 4 yards on a run into the line on first down trailing 47-0 in the fourth quarter, is as of this writing maintaining an undignified silence. Which, when you see that Gym Jordan tried out, is understandable:

I prefer this innovation in MAGA logic. When “this investigation is a witch hunt” becomes too untenable, try “you can’t do investigations of they would reveal too much illegal activity”:
