Supreme Court Dissents Are Worthless

Who cares what the dissents say? It doesn’t matter. The legal justification for these cases are whatever Thomas and Alito saw on a Facebook feed. Pretending that these dissents actually matter is a sucker’s game. The future will be decided on who has power–period. The legal niceties of a dissent are fine and all, but they aren’t worth following because they simply flat out don’t make any damn difference one way or another. If Democrats regain power on the Court in some utopian future, they can reestablish these rights based on whatever legal justification they pull out of a fortune cookie if they want.
