Good men with guns

While offering thoughtsandprayers, Tailgunner Ted suggested the preferred reactionary alternative to the gun control that stops school shootings in most other democratic countries: more people with guns! If one looks at the systematic evidence, there is needless to say no reason to think that this would address the problem at all:

Cruz: “We know from past experience that the most effective tool for keeping kids safe is armed law enforcement on campus.”

Asking sincerely: What possible evidence exists for this claim?

OK, but as John Roberts has observed social science is just gobbledygook and probably critical race queer theory. What’s particularly ridiculous is that — just like at the Tops in Buffalo last weekend — there were armed people in Uvalde:
