Let’s ask this scientician
I spent four days up in Boebert country last week — Buena Vista/Salida/South Park — and literally didn’t see a single mask once in a store or restaurant (TBF, indoor public mask usage in the Boulder Bubble is currently at around 5%).
A friend of mine asked me who the most famous victim of the Spanish flu was, and I couldn’t come up with anybody. He dug around, and decided the answer was Max Weber, with Gustav Klimt coming in second. I suppose the winner in the current pandemic is Colin Powell, certainly from a US perspective.
Anyway 6.5 million global deaths so far (the true toll is probably at least twice that) seems like a pretty bad allergy season. Also there’s another difference between allergies and viral diseases although I can’t remember what it is at the moment.
