It’s a landmark number in the film series. Plus I’ve never really paid attention to Rhode Island in this thing. So let’s check out this 1921 urban booster film of the city. It’s fun for me just to see what I can still recognize a century later.
Being the center of the 3rd most populous 80 mile circle in the United States is the 1920s urban boosterism version of Lieberman being virtually tied for 3rd place in New Hampshire. And it’s very Rhode Island with its little brother syndrome to Boston.
