Friday Cat Blogging: Starbuck

VERY long-term readers will remember the the days of Friday Cat Blogging, where I catalogued the first years of my relationship with Starbuck and Nelson. Nelson passed away back in 2016, and I regret to report that Starbuck passed away this last weekend. She led a full life with few serious health problems, and until Friday afternoon was regarded to be in relatively good health for a 16 year old cat. Although Starbuck spent her last few years away from me, I always regarded her as my favorite cat. Affections sometime fade even between cat and human, but never between Starbuck and myself. After we picked up Katniss and Ulysses for my new household, I remember hearing my daughter Elisha explain Starbuck to the new kittens: “She is very old and terribly wise.”
