McCarthy pulls all Republicans from the 1/6 panel because Pelosi rejected seditionist members
Nancy Pelosi did the obvious right thing after Republicans nominated look-the-other-way-from-gross-misconduct artist Gym Jordan and his fellow authoritarian nut Jim Banks to the 1/6 panel:
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., has vetoed two Republican nominees to the panel set to investigate the Jan. 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol.
Citing “statements and actions” made by the pair — Reps. Jim Banks of Indiana and Jim Jordan of Ohio, Pelosi said she was rejecting their nominations “with respect for the integrity of the investigation.”
“The unprecedented nature of January 6th demands this unprecedented decision,” Pelosi said.
And if McCarthy can’t have people who support the 1/6 rioters on the commission he is taking his wingnuts and going home:

Given that the sole objective of Republicans would be to sabotage the committee, this is fine. An investigation by a bipartisan committee in which both sides agree that seditious riots are bad and want to get to the bottom of them would be better in theory but wasn’t on the table.
