LGM Film Club, Part 171: The New York Thruway
In 1951, as New York built the Thruway, it created films to sell the project to the different communities where it would pass through. They are mostly the same, with slight differences geared toward this or that place. Here is the one for Syracuse. The way in which this road is described in miraculous language is very much a product of the utopian vision for freeways at the time.
