LGM Podcast: Mary Church Terrell
For the latest LGM podcast, I interviewed Alison Parker, Richards Professor of American History at the University of Delaware, on her latest book, Unceasing Militant: The Life of Mary Church Terrell. We spent a great half hour discussing the life of this remarkable and yet rather little-known woman (at least to the general public), with some conversation about why the entire era between the Washington/DuBois/Wells years and the 1950s-1960s civil rights movement is largely forgotten publicly. Terrell truly was an amazing figure and this book is well worth your time and money.
