Angst was finally old enough it ought to have a proper home
Oren Cass is attempting to take his case that trying to help poor people and/or working parents by giving them cash assistance is bad, actually to today’s youth with some EDGY pop-culture references:
I’m trying to imagine growing up in a household where teenage angst and rebellion is associated with the ultra-preppy mall retailer that happily stocks every size between 0 and 2, but some things are just too horrifying to contemplate. Much like a mind that could conceive an argument that giving (disproportionately female) working parents the choice between leaving the workforce and prohibitively expensive childcare is really showing those starched shirts in the C-Suite who’s really in charge.
Frankly, the Party of Lincoln has been turned into something so disgusting even wild dogs would disregard the bones.
