Former President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump quietly received the Covid-19 vaccine at the White House in January, a Trump advisor told NBC News on Monday.
It is not clear which type of vaccine they received and they were not disclosed at the time by the Trump White House.
This news was first reported by The New York Times.
Republicans are far less likely to want to take the COVID vaccine than Democrats. Trump loudly touting his decision to take the vaccine in January wouldn’t have eliminated this gap, but it would certainly have moved the needle in the right direction. But he had an election to try to steal, and besides he very truly doesn’t give a shit if his supporters live or die.
