Trivia of the Evening

Patrick Leahy very briefly went to the hospital this evening. He seems fine, everyone calm down. Phil Scott had already said that if Bernie becomes president, he will name an Angus King type who will caucus with Democrats. No reason to think he’d change that if something happened to one of Vermont’s rather aged senators.
In any case, I looked up a bit about Leahy during all this. And I came across the most remarkable fact:
Patrick Leahy is the only Democrat elected to the Senate in the entire history of Vermont.
Of course, that’s because Bernie is an independent. But still. That’s quality trivia right there my friends.
