Trump administration sending alternative slate of electors to Congress

They’re just going to Calvinball this thing all the way up to January 20th and beyond:

I think two things are going on here:

(1) The standard Trump grift to squeeze the rubes for ever-larger contributions to “pay for the fight” aka retire the campaign debt aka just steal a lot of money from suckers; and

(2) I do think he’s planning on running again in 2024.

Narcissistic injury and narcissistic rage are powerful things when there’s nothing left of a person other than malignant narcissism. I fully expect the next few years will be a non-stop campaign on his part to win the White House back, by doing as much as possible to rig elections in Republican-controlled states, via legislation allowing the state legislature to appoint its own set of electors irrespective of election results etc.
