Supreme Court Won’t Do That

In case you’re wondering, Alito and Thomas are just reiterating their crank hobbyhorse that the claims brought to the Court under its original jurisdiction are mandatory rather than discretionary, not suggesting the claims have any merit.
The Supreme Court deserves no particular credit for rejected a lawless attempt to destroy American democracy. The majority of elite Republicans who could not meet even this de minimis standard deserve the harshest judgment of history.
