“Kidding on the square,” I believe this is called. And Trump’s belief that Democrats governing is illegitimate couldn’t be a more mainstream Republican position. And the circuit court judges Republicans worked so hard to ram through now have even more power to ratfuck elections.
And it’s not just Trump talking about using a 6-3 Supreme Court to ratfuck the elections; indeed, it’s a central Republican talking point:

If Democrats are able to overcome all of this and win anyway, the reform measures being proposed are actually a very modest reaction to the increasingly open Republican opposition to democracy.
