Katie Porter for Senate!

California Democrats have….a very, very deep bench. If and when Harris becomes VP, Gavin Newsom is going to have a tough choice to make. I hope he picks a very good candidate. There are plenty that are more than acceptable. Personally, for as much as I admire Barbara Lee and admit that Karen Bass would be a fine choice too, he could not do better than Katie Porter if the point is to appoint someone that is going to be a dynamo in the upper chamber. Of course, there’s a lot of racial politics involved in this as well, so it may not happen.
