An American Story [RETRACTED]

I have removed this post, which cited what seems to have been the fake story from a sock puppet Twitter feed. This thread from the Yale lab tech Isabel Ott provides a small mountain of evidence that neither the feed nor the story are on the level. My apologies; enough people in her apparent field were passing on the story that I had no reason to doubt it, but it was apparently an invented tale.
