LGM Film Club, Part 26: Mickey, The Firefighting Cat of Minneapolis
Earlier in this series, I posted one of the bizarre General Motors producted short animal films used as shorts before feature films (I think). It’s time to revisit this series, with this lovely ridiculousness about Mickey, a cat who hangs out at a fire station in Minneapolis and rides the pole down the fire truck!
We love this so much that when we rescued a cat and gave it to my wife’s dad, we named him Mickey. Sadly, this Mickey would not stay inside except to sleep at night and during a storm either became a hawk snack or disappeared. He was a nice cat though, even though he was basically a serial killer of birds. Anyway, enjoy this.
