LGM Film Club, Part 15: Let’s Make a Sandwich
It’s been a busy week for sandwich talk at LGM and across the internet. But have we acknowledged our foremothers and the sandwich-based media of the past? We have not! That changes now with the 1950 documentary, Let’s Make a Sandwich. The drama! The cheers! The fears! The tears! Or at least I had tears when I discovered this was “tuna rarebit” and an open-faced sandwich, which is not a damn sandwich. I also love the discussion of the rise of potato chips as a food for the house.
That really does not look tasty. American Gas Association, you have failed me with your sponsorship of home ec films.
