Seems safe to say that today won’t be the day he becomes president, but OTOH the day is young.
Seriously if you look at the history of the adoption of the 25th amendment, one thing the framers contemplated was a president losing his marbles — it was very much NOT intended to deal only with a president in a coma or things along those lines. Hence the mechanism provided in the amendment itself whereby Congress resolves a dispute between the president and the vice-president about the president’s fitness to serve, if the latter has already become Acting President under the amendment’s procedures.
What they didn’t seem to contemplate was an entire political party and its supporters going out of its collective mind, so here we are.
