Yesterday’s Savvy Lefty Hero Strikes Again
The Tom Cotton of 2012 thinks more people should get sick and die for no reason whatsoever:

Just great. Also, note that 1)the bill Pelosi passed, because it was not a messaging bill, will apparently be passed by the Senate tomorrow, and 2)it has mysteriously not stopped congressional Democrats from proposing more good things for subsequent bills!
Meanwhile, let’s hear more from the Party of Economic Populism:
Sen. Lindsey Graham: “My focus is not giving people a check from the government. My focus is to make sure you get your paycheck from your employer.” pic.twitter.com/3eDyh7ick0— The Hill (@thehill) March 17, 2020
That Nancy Pelosi doesn’t think there was a Senate majority ready to immediately enact a universal family leave program into law is truly a mystery that will never be explained.
As for the idea that she should have focused on passing symbolic message legislation alongside/instead of the negotiated bill, a brief dramatic response:
House Dems: “We passed another great bill! I’d like to see Mitch McConnell wriggle out of this one!”
McConnell: [does nothing]
House Dems: “Ah, nevertheless.”
Marginal swing voter: “Wait, who the hell is Mitch McConnell?”
