Don’t normalize this continued

This is a brief followup to Scott’s post below about how blowing off overwhelming evidence that one of the president’s closest advisers is a fascistic white supremacist — I would say a neo-Nazi but I don’t want to draw the “well actually” crowd into pedantic semantic arguments — is just another symptom of the degradation which we are all being pulled towards, and which it’s all the more important to resist consciously and continuously.

I say this knowing that I’m vulnerable to this myself, and have even surrendered to it from time to time. But:

Note that the prosecutors in this case concluded that Stone was successful: that he managed via this crime to cover up Trump’s participation in the coverup of foreign interference in the 2016.

This would, under any other circumstances, simply end a presidency all by itself. Yet here we are.
