The Mad Dog in the Yard
In case you missed it:
In a recent interview on an ABC podcast, Wally Conron says the invention [of the labradoodle] is his “life’s regret” and he hasn’t “got a clue” why people are still breeding them today.
The problem?
“I find that the biggest majority [of labradoodles] are either crazy or have a hereditary problem.”
My daughter read this story about the “Frankenstein’s Monster” dog. She added, “It’s true. It’s all true.” When she was in second grade, she had a playdate at a friend’s house. The friend warned her, “if the dog rushes up to you don’t run.”
The story ends with my daughter being tackled by a dog twice her size. “And that,” she told me, is why she has long believed labradoodles to be insane.
