End stage bothersiderism
The man with the long tie and short fingers has found the perfect target for his ire.
President Donald Trump is escalating his attacks on the late Sen. John McCain, saying that he gave the longtime lawmaker “the kind of funeral he wanted” and “I didn’t get a thank you.”
Far be it for me to make a suggestion here, but I wonder if he’s considered tracking down McCain and demanding a thank you.
Just a thought.
It’s very weird and I expect more of this sort of thing throughout his campaign. Learning speeches is hard work that cuts into valuable golf and shouting at the TV time. And frankly, it worked the last time. But the weirdest bit is the way reporters willingly adjust to his version of reality, assisted no doubt by the fact that the national press is well into the final stages of bothersiderism.
Trump has escalated his feud with McCain in recent days, saying he was “never a fan” of the former GOP presidential candidate and “never will be.”
All that’s missing is the proper framing of McCain’s silence.
