I have a piece for Reuters about William Barr’s pending confirmation as Attorney General. TL;DR: Barr mostly walked back the worst Trumpy statements he made prior to being nominated, but not only are the ex ante statements probably more reliable on a more fundamental level nobody who would take the job as Trump’s Attorney General is fit for the position.
