Word on the street is that a deal is about to be struck to end the shutdown, by passing a continuing resolution to cover two or three weeks of full funding, “while negotiations continue.”
If this happens it’s a total victory for Pelosi, and the most humiliating possible defeat for Trump.
It’s hard to imagine that anybody on the Republican side will have the stomach to re-raise on a losing hand after the “negotiation” period, and the negotiations should reflect that fact.
Given that Nancy Smash is in charge, I’m not worried.
