The Collusion of the Stone
I guess not all of the plot twists can be unpredictable:
Longtime Trump adviser Roger Stone privately inquired about damaging information on Hillary Clinton from WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange before the 2016 election, raising questions about the candor of congressional testimony Stone gave last year, unearthed emails reveal.
Stone asked New York radio host Randy Credico in a Sept. 18, 2016 email if he could reach out to Assange regarding “any” State Department emails pertaining to a 2011 Libyan peace deal, which Clinton has been widely blamed for derailing while serving as secretary of state.
“Please ask Assange for any State or HRC e-mail from August 10 to August 30 — particularly on August 20, 2011,” Stone wrote in the email, which was first reported by the Wall Street Journal on Thursday and independently verified by the Daily News.
It’s crucial to remember that Assange was supporting Trump for totally non-right wing reasons, though! And it’s hard to dispute that his Very Plausible theory that liberals would be able to dictate Trump’s foreign policy has panned out.
