Lord: You know it’s always very easy to blame the killer after another mass shooting, but how often do you think we should be blaming the killer’s victims?
It is not an April Fool’s joke.
Yes, said Parkland student Emma González. She and her fellow students at Parkland’s Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School “ostracized” fellow student Nikolas Cruz. Said González when speaking in Washington at the anti-gun “March for Our Lives”:
[…]
Which is to say, González just made a startling admission. Parkland students bullied Nikolas Cruz.
It’s Jeffery Lord, who starts with a debunked right-wing lie about Gonzalez in his attempt to simultaneously up-cycle a right wing meme, point the finger of blame at the students of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School and accuse Debra Messing and of hypocrisy.
And of course there’ll be reinforcement the idea that everyone should be friends with the sort of boy who kills animals, picks fights with other kids, threatens a girl and went around with swastikas an the n-word on his backpack — you know, a bully — because it would be A SHAME if that kid got really angry.
Needless to say, if right wing wanks like Lord are claiming there’s a correlation between being bullied and going on a shooting spree they are not suggesting that we need reasonable gun control laws. A society of armed, violent hetero-dudes is a polite society!
