First of all, the idea there’s any nottrivial group of Trump suppoters who love Jon McNaughton but would totally vote for Kirsten Gillibrand in 2020 if only liberals refrained from making fun of his art is absolutely bonkers. And even worse…well, I’ll delegate my snarky punchline on this one:

How seamlessly these columnists can transition from “our readers/college students need THEIR ASSUMPTIONS CHALLENGED because OUR JOB IS TO INFLICT, PERIOD” to “Trump voters/elite conservative op-ed columnists/wealthy pro-Trump celebrties are SPECIAL SNOWFLAKES who need SAFE SPACES” is almost impressive.
Incidentally, this risible kitsch masterpiece of contemporary American art inspires me to ask how many of our nation’s conservertarian selective free speech crusaders have decired the fact that Colin Kaepernick is being blackballed. I’ll set the over/under at 1 and the under pays -5000.
