I know we all wished that if a 1 seed ever lost to a 16, it would be Duke. So I guess that’s disappointing, but Virginia losing by 20 to Maryland-Baltimore County, a team named the Retrievers for some damn reason? Wow. I thought I had a witty historically-based tweet about it.
The last time the forces of Virginia were embarrassed by Maryland troops in such a fashion as this was around April 1865.
