If the trip to Long Island was tense, imagine what the trip back was like. Assuming Priebus was allowed on the plane.
At any rate, expect Administration Musical Chairs, complete with humiliating dismissals, to continue for the next 3.5 years. On that topic, I wonder who’s next for the chop. Dump did say he’d fire HHS Sec. Tom Price if the Freedom from Health Care bill didn’t pass.
As far as finding a new head of DHS goes, the ban on transgender service members has already cost tRump one candidate.
A candidate for a top position at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) pulled his name from consideration for the job on Thursday after President Trump’s announcement that transgender Americans would be banned from serving in the armed forces “in any capacity.”
John Fluharty, a former executive director of the Delaware Republican party, told the agency in an email that he was no longer seeking the position of assistant secretary of partnership and engagement after Trump’s announcement on Twitter Wednesday morning.Fluharty wrote in the email, first obtained by Politico, that Trump’s surprise decision to ban all transgender troops from serving in the armed forces “runs counter to my deeply held beliefs.”
Update 1: Commentarian Malraux asked an excellent question to which the answer may well be No.
Did Kelly get consulted on this prior to the announcement?
Update 2: It looks like RNC PR BS wasn’t stranded at the drive-in in New York. Instead it appears he was given the cooties treatment when he got back to Andrews AFB.

Update 3: DHS doesn’t know who is in charge right now. Of. Course.
