Fox Sports’ Jay Glazer reports that the New York Giants tested the Pittsburgh Steelers’ footballs during last Sunday’s game and informed the NFL that two of the balls were deflated.
Given this absolutely ironclad evidence about a rules violation that surely had a massive impact on the outcome of the game, I’m sure that Roger Goodell will do the right thing and suspend Ben Roethlisberger for four games, relieve the Steelers of its first round pick, and have Roethlisberger and Tomlin immediately turn over their laptops, cell phones, journals, and underwear drawers to the NFL offices. And I’m very confident that all of the people who considered the punishment of the Patriots proportional and reasonable because CHEATING will be calling for a similar punishment to be handed out in this case.
