Fighting Climate Change with Trees

I like any idea to fight climate change and I like Madrid’s ideas to plant trees and other greenery wherever possible in order to fight climate change. I do however wonder how this will work in a semi-arid area where rain will become less common with climate change, not more. I suppose all the plants could have a localized effect. In any case, any effort should be encouraged.
