Faculty Pretending That Workers Aren’t Workers If They’re Grad Students

Perlstein has some more depressing examples of faculty members making these silly arguments.

Back in the early days of this blog, faculty defenders of union-busting at NYU established new standards for specious, self-serving arguments against grad school unionization.  (David Velleman’s now-forgotten attempt to speak to the right in blog form was successful in a way he didn’t intend.)  The arguments keep coming up like a fifth of SoCo at a high school party.
